RP Partner Joe Zonies Named to the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee

RP Partner Joe Zonies was recently named to the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee in the In re Avandia Products Liability, Sales Practices and Marketing multi-district litigation. The case has been assigned to the federal court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. The Steering Committee, which has 15 members, is charged with coordinating discovery and trial strategy for several hundred cases from across the country. Thousands of cases have potential to be filed. Mr. Zonies heads RP’s mass torts practice. He has experience in several high profile mass torts, including Avandia, Ephedra, Zyprexa and Vioxx.
