US WEST: RPC lawyers brought a series of state-wide consumer fraud class actions against US WEST (now Qwest) in Arizona, Colorado, Minnesota, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah and Washington over delayed installation of residential and business telephone lines. The "held order" litigation culminated in successful settlements of all seven cases, in which class members received dollar-for-dollar credits or payments for the losses and inconvenience they suffered as a result of having to wait for phone service installation.
